This is a watercolor and Ink painting of Costa's Hummingbird. I have been told we have these little creatures occasionally on the Western Slope of Colorado, but I have yet to see them! I love how vibrant their gorgeted coloring is. The vibrant purple makes me think they are wearing a wresting mask in Lucha Libra - and I wouldn't expect anything less from fiesty hummingbirds! It is 9x12 inches, comes unframed and on 350 gsm Italian watercolor paper.
