This is an enamel 1 inch pin of the Colorado Mermaid. Taken from the first illustration from The Grand Valley Mermaids. She has red hair, a cut throat trout tail and a Columbine bra (the state flower!) This pin has gold outlines, and a hard rubber backing. It comes on a thick paper backer, wrapped in a secure cellophane bag ready for its new owner!
