The Call of Night Print
Because of the way these original paintings are created and the materials used, the prints from this series are produced as special limited editions.
Each artwork is printed as a museum-quality fine art giclée (pronounced “zhee-clay”) on beautiful German Hahnemühle paper, a premium archival paper known for its rich surface and exceptional longevity.
The paper itself is one of my favorite parts of the print. It has a soft, buttery texture and a substantial weight, very thick and sturdy (similar to the thickness of cereal box packaging), which makes it a dream to frame and display. Each image is printed in limited editions of 25. Once an edition sells out, no additional prints will be produced.
This series is very special to me, and it was important that the prints carry the same level of care, quality, and presence as the original paintings. This original watercolor painting is part of my Year of the Fire Horse series, a body of work exploring transformation, instinct, and the many ways change begins.
Each print is signed in numerical order, editioned and packed with care. Paintings that originally have the gold leaf added will also be added to the print itself.
Available in the Following Sizes: 8×10, 11 × 14 and 16×20
This original watercolor painting is part of my Year of the Fire Horse series and is painted on high-quality Somerset watercolor paper. The artwork measures 16 × 22 inches and captures the quiet moment just before movement begins.
In this piece, Night stands beside her horse, listening for the moment when the world shifts and the Fire Horse begins to run. The lunar Year of the Fire Horse is traditionally associated with awakening, courage, and powerful momentum. It marks a cycle where energy gathers, direction becomes clear, and the spark of action begins.
I was interested in exploring the idea of thresholds—that brief pause before change arrives. Night represents the keeper of that moment: calm, observant, and attuned to the rhythm of time before she ushers in the Fire Horse.
Painted with layered watercolor washes and intentional movement of pigment, this piece reflects both stillness and rising energy, capturing the feeling of something powerful just beginning to stir.
This is an edition print signed and created in my Colorado studio.
