The Fire Bronco Print
Because of the way these original paintings are created and the materials used, the prints from this series are produced as special limited editions.
Each artwork is printed as a museum-quality fine art giclée (pronounced “zhee-clay”) on beautiful German Hahnemühle paper, a premium archival paper known for its rich surface and exceptional longevity.
The paper itself is one of my favorite parts of the print. It has a soft, buttery texture and a substantial weight, very thick and sturdy (similar to the thickness of cereal box packaging), which makes it a dream to frame and display. Each image is printed in limited editions of 25. Once an edition sells out, no additional prints will be produced.
This series is very special to me, and it was important that the prints carry the same level of care, quality, and presence as the original paintings. This original watercolor painting is part of my Year of the Fire Horse series, a body of work exploring transformation, instinct, and the many ways change begins.
Each print is signed in numerical order, editioned and packed with care. Paintings that originally have the gold leaf added will also be added to the print itself.
Available in the Following Sizes: 8×10, 11 × 14 and 16×20
This original watercolor painting is part of my Year of the Fire Horse series, a body of work exploring transformation, instinct, and the untamed momentum that accompanies change.
Painted on Somerset watercolor paper, this piece features The Fire Bronco, a horse that embodies both myth and landscape. Inspired by the spirit of Colorado, the bronco reflects the wildness of open terrain, mountain winds, and the enduring symbolism of the American West.
Within the larger Fire Horse narrative, the bronco represents the moment when energy breaks free. It is not restrained or directed, but alive with movement and possibility. The vivid washes of red, ember, and flame-like color speak to the ignition of change—powerful, unpredictable, and impossible to contain.
This painting is also an ode to Colorado, a place where horses, mountains, and wide skies continue to shape a sense of independence and resilience. The Fire Bronco stands as a symbol of freedom, reminding us that transformation often arrives with the same wild energy that defines the western landscape.
Created through expressive watercolor washes and fluid pigment movement, the piece captures both motion and atmosphere, allowing color to move across the paper in a way that mirrors the spirit of the horse itself.
