The Return Print

from $52.00
  • Because of the way these original paintings are created and the materials used, the prints from this series are produced as special limited editions.

  • Each artwork is printed as a museum-quality fine art giclée (pronounced “zhee-clay”) on beautiful German Hahnemühle paper, a premium archival paper known for its rich surface and exceptional longevity.

  • The paper itself is one of my favorite parts of the print. It has a soft, buttery texture and a substantial weight, very thick and sturdy (similar to the thickness of cereal box packaging), which makes it a dream to frame and display. Each image is printed in limited editions of 25. Once an edition sells out, no additional prints will be produced.

  • This series is very special to me, and it was important that the prints carry the same level of care, quality, and presence as the original paintings. This original watercolor painting is part of my Year of the Fire Horse series, a body of work exploring transformation, instinct, and the many ways change begins.

  • Each print is signed in numerical order, editioned and packed with care. Paintings that originally have the gold leaf added will also be added to the print itself.

Available in the Following Sizes: 8×10, 11 × 14 and 16×20

Painted on BFK paper, this largework captures the moment when the journey reaches its culmination. Night returns to the sky, stepping back into the vastness from which she first emerged. Below, the Fire Horse burns with radiant light, illuminating the path and igniting the energy of the year ahead.

Throughout the series, Night and the Fire Horse move through stages of growth, discovery, and power. In this final painting, their roles become clear: Night becomes the sky itself, while the Fire Horse carries the living flame of movement and transformation forward into the world.

The composition carries a sense of both release and renewal. Luminous watercolor washes move across the paper with warmth and intensity, suggesting fire, sky, and horizon. Behind the figures, a hand-applied gold leaf moon glows as a celestial focal point, catching light and reinforcing the mythic atmosphere of the scene.

As the final work in the narrative, this painting represents completion, illumination, and the beginning of the next cycle.
