The Wildfire Print
Because of the way these original paintings are created and the materials used, the prints from this series are produced as special limited editions.
Each artwork is printed as a museum-quality fine art giclée (pronounced “zhee-clay”) on beautiful German Hahnemühle paper, a premium archival paper known for its rich surface and exceptional longevity.
The paper itself is one of my favorite parts of the print. It has a soft, buttery texture and a substantial weight, very thick and sturdy (similar to the thickness of cereal box packaging), which makes it a dream to frame and display. Each image is printed in limited editions of 25. Once an edition sells out, no additional prints will be produced.
This series is very special to me, and it was important that the prints carry the same level of care, quality, and presence as the original paintings. This original watercolor painting is part of my Year of the Fire Horse series, a body of work exploring transformation, instinct, and the many ways change begins.
Each print is signed in numerical order, editioned and packed with care. Paintings that originally have the gold leaf added will also be added to the print itself.
Available in the Following Sizes: 8×10, 11 × 14 and 16×20
Painted on Somerset watercolor paper, this 10 × 12 inch piece depicts Night as a mercurial and rebellious young adult, riding with a sense of freedom, curiosity, and unrestrained joy. In this moment, she is not yet burdened by responsibility or the weight of consequence. Instead, she moves with the exhilaration of discovery, igniting the first sparks of motion that will eventually become the Fire Horse’s full charge.
The Fire Horse, long associated with bold momentum and transformation within the lunar cycle, represents a force that cannot easily be contained. Here, that force is playful and electric. The horse carries the vivid colors of heat, flame, and movement, while Night rides with a sense of daring and instinct, embodying the early energy of change before it matures into purpose.
Created through fluid watercolor washes and layered pigments, the painting embraces the unpredictable nature of the medium, allowing color to move and ignite across the surface much like the spirit it represents.
This work reflects a moment of untamed energy, youth, and the exhilaration of setting change into motion.
