The Mermaid of Fruita
Fruita mermaid rides a bicycle—a playful tribute to the town’s vibrant community of outdoor cyclists. By her side is a tiny companion: the Fruitafossor, a chipmunk-sized mammal from the Late Jurassic era that once roamed this region. Resembling a miniature armadillo, this ancient creature adds a touch of prehistoric charm. You can also find a Ceratosaurus fossil slightly buried, the official dinosaur of Fruita, Colorado
Behind them stretches Fruita’s stunning natural landscape, a haven for hikers and bikers alike. The Uncompahgre Plateau rises in the distance, while the Book Cliffs mark the northern edge of the Grand Valley—an iconic backdrop for adventure and exploration.
This limited-edition giclée print features The Mermaid of Fruita, part of my Colorado-inspired mermaid series.
Available in 8x10, 11x14, and 16x20 inches, each piece is printed on 100 lb archival cotton paper or archival canvas with a 0.25" white border for easy framing. Prints are unframed and arrive carefully packaged in a protective poly-sleeve, wrapped with care from my studio to ensure they reach you safely.
Every print is a high-quality reproduction of my original watercolor painting—crafted to bring a touch of Colorado magic into your home.
